We’re looking to hire and train motivated individuals to take on the responsibility of helping ships safely transit through the St. Lawrence Seaway system.  Becoming an Operations Controller doesn’t require any prior experience or specialized training – all training is provided by the St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation – but you must meet the following requirements prior to applying:

·    College Diploma in a related field
·    Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Operations Controllers perform a critical role in our organization and assist with the passage of vessels by remotely operating locks and bridges, controlling vessel traffic and performing some manual ship tie-ups.  Our recruitment, screening and training processes are thorough and designed to help us hire the best possible candidates.  In fact, the duration of the training is approximately 19 months of full-time work.

Applicants must be prepared to:

·    Undergo a security check
·    Undergo drug testing (including cannabis)
·    Start training in April 2020

Salary range: $26.73 to $40.81 per hour
