The successful River Tour Guide candidate should be outgoing and friendly with a gregarious personality and a natural talent for customer service. You will possess the ability to entertain large groups of people while educating them on the history and geology of the majestic Niagara River, and experiencing the excitement of playing in class 5 whitewater rapids.

Responsibilities:

Act as guide of jet-boat tours on the Niagara River

Narrate the history of the Niagara River using microphone equipment

Deliver the pre-trip guest safety orientation – speaking in front of over 100 guests

Safely load and unload passengers onto boats; physical assistance is required

Assist Captain with daily mechanical maintenance and duties as requested; bail water from air tight holding containers

Assist with daily cleaning of vessels, scrub boats, seats, cleaning of windshields

Clean and store passenger river gear

Handing out of passenger gear to guests

General tidiness and cleaning of change rooms, grounds, parking lot, buildings, power-wash decking, garbage removal

Recording of pre-defined video clips on the attraction tour using a GoPro Hero camera

Understand and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

Responsible for the safety and well-being of 50+ guests per trip

Passenger first aid

Assisting passengers onto / off vessel

Outside during all types of weather

First Aid and CPR  required

Must have the ability to both work in Canada and the United States
