Our Programs

NPAAMB programs have been specifically designed within the context of behavioural development theory and professional development by taking an analytic approach to the field of employment and training, and behaviour change over the span of our clients’ professional development. By examining both the acquisition of basic life skills, complimented by employability skill development, and the development of more complex behaviours, NPAAMB core programming aims to provide employers with a meaningful and effective labour force who will contribute to positive outcomes within their employment and career-related goals, and to the overall benefit of their employers.

Ceremony 2 Employment Program

Ceremony 2 Employment is a culturally wholistic program that promotes cultural connection and community belonging, as well as offering essential life skill and career development activities. Participants will work closely with Instructors and Knowledge Keepers to explore ceremonies and rite of passage, as well as ways to access important elements of indigenous culture, such as access to land-based teachings, lessons and experiences.

In this culturally holistic program, youth will work closely with Instructors and Indigenous Knowledge Keepers to offer clients an understanding of ceremonies, along with traditional rites of passage, and knowledge exchanges. This course promotes cultural connection and community belonging, as well as essential life skill and career development.

Sports 2 Employment Program

Sports 2 Employment creates positive pathways to employment while building safer communities through sports and employability skills. Each course offering trains and works closely with different sports professionals, such as lacrosse or hockey. Youth can expect to play the sport almost daily, continuously working to develop their skills and goals.

Arts 2 Employment ProgramComing Soon!

Arts 2 Employment is a culturally grounded arts program, where youth will learn about the history, context and importance of indigenous art and expression. Youth will participate in a number of activities that will grow life and career development skills through expression, such as painting, carving, dancing, and singing.

During the Building our Bundles program youth will participate in opportunities that assist with developing a meaningful career action plan by identifying your personal strengths, opportunities for growth, and strategies that promote overall employment success.

Exploring our Bundles

The Exploring our Bundles Program is designed for youth that are interested in developing their interpersonal skills, self-identity, employability and life skills through culture-based programming.

Implementing our Bundles

The Implementing our Bundles program is for youth that are employment ready and interested in applying the elements of the bundle into experiential activities. This culture-based program will prepare youth to enter apprenticeship programs, skilled trade programs, and/or post-secondary programs.

Understanding our Bundles

The understanding our Bundles program is for youth that are employed in their career of choice or under-employed, and interested in enhancing their professional development. Applying the elements of the bundle, youth will work toward progressing their chosen professional journey.
