
Bruce Power
Bruce Power is a Canadian-owned partnership of TC Energy, OMERS, the Power Workers’ Union and The Society of United Professionals. A majority of our employees are also owners of the business.
Established in 2001, Bruce Power is Canada’s only private sector nuclear generator, annually producing 30 per cent of Ontario’s power.
Through a partnership with Indspire, Bruce Power will present scholarships to local Indigenous youth through the Building Brighter Futures Indigenous Post-Secondary Award, which provides $4,000 to local Indigenous students who have completed at least on year of post-secondary education or apprenticeship programs.

The Seven Generations Education Institute
Seven Generations Education Institute (SGEI) is an Indigenous-led educational organization that provides high school, post-secondary, training for employment and cultural programming to all Indigenous and non-Indigenous people in the Treaty 3 area and beyond.

Some First Nations communities have education dollars set aside for resident students. Rules relating to funding differ based on your community. Please contact your local Education Counsellor for more information. For assistance applying for funding, contact your post-secondary program coordinator.

Indspire is an Indigenous national charity that invests in the education of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people for the long-term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada.

Since 1996, Indspire has provided over $280 million in financial support to more than 84,000 First Nations, Inuit and Métis students.
There is one application for all of Indspire’s bursaries, scholarships, and awards (with a few exceptions that you’ll see below). You only need to complete the application once to be considered for all applicable bursaries, scholarships, and awards.
