Annual Youth Conference for local high school students!
Opportunity Knocks is the premiere, annual multi-day event hosted by NPAAMB with the goal of introducing Ontario’s Urban Indigenous Youth to various career opportunities and labour markets.
NPAAMB works collaboratively with educators, employers, training centers, and elders to feature learning opportunities, training programs, and employment incentives.
Opportunity Knocks was first held in October 2014 in partnership with AABO (Aboriginal Apprenticeship Board of Ontario), however, NPAAMB adopted the annual conference the following year to become the host and primary funder.
NPAAMB hosts up to 100 high-school students during the annual conference, and 60+ community and employer partners.
